The following schemes are being implemented under the Department of Fisheries, Government of Assam:
Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF): The Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) is a financial assistance scheme administered by NABARD to support rural infrastructure development projects.
Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY): The Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) is a flagship scheme of the Government of India aimed at the sustainable development of the fisheries and aquaculture sector.
Externally Aided Projects (EAPs): At present, two EAPs — the JICA-assisted ASAPALI and the ADB-assisted SWIFT— are being implemented under the Department.
State-Owned Priority Development (SOPD): Under the State-Owned Priority Development (SOPD) programme, a Cluster-Based Development Approach in fisheries and aquaculture has been introduced to ensure integrated and sustainable growth of the sector.
